520 _aWilliam Tell lives near Lake Lucerne in Switzerland with his son Carl. Baron Gessler demands that the town bow when passing by a hat he left in the town on his behalf. William refuses this. The Baron demands that he must then shoot the arrow at an apple placed on his son's head. William Tell does it. Gessler asks him why he had two arrows, William tells him that the other one was for him. Gessler and his guards take William to a boat. A storm begins on the lake and William steers the boat towards the rocks where they collide. William shoots an arrow at Gessler, who dies in the lake.
